Like most
great ideas, it came almost unbidden, something between a
eureka and an epiphany. He really did have the best of intentions.
That’s what was so damned funny about it all. If only he could have known. Then
again, he was an inventor, not a psychic, for God’s sake. It was supposed to be
a good thing, something everyone on earth could use, non-polluting, non-toxic,
costs next-to- nothing to operate, would keep them from harm. So why was
everybody trying to kill him? Oh, what’s the use? How does that saying go? The
road to hell is paved...
